2024 is an enigma. The promise of the Holiday Bowl triumphant win a decent start the season a new defensive staff and good results and here we are. Four wins Five losses going into a home game with Nebraska. Welcome to the Big 10 Trojan fans or is it something else. I chose Will Bennett's latest artwork he created for our site as to me with 65 years of Cardinal & Gold this season is the most difficult to swallow. Losing five games leading in the 4th quarter with a vastly improved defense and a running game that looks good but zero confidence with the staff. Go figure. Run the ball and the passing game can be a very different experience but that is not what we see on any given Game Day.
Now we move Miller Moss to the bench in favor of our QB2 #14 Jayden Maiava who shows a lot of versatility and may be a great fit to Coach Riley's system but clearly the run game has to be a serious focus against a good Nebraska front seven. Jayden will be finding it hard to sleep taking on this enormous decision by Riley. The weight of the Trojans are squarely on his shoulders. Time will tell but time is tomorrow and this team needs an inspirational moment like no other.
